Global Banking and Markets Insight Programmes (UK only)
Whether you’re a mathematician who loves number crunching, or a psychology student who understands what motivates people, your skills and passions have a place at HSBC. With our Global Banking and Markets Insight Programmes in the UK, you can learn about the opportunities and benefits of working in international banking, and meet world-class business leaders who share an interest in your career.
On our four-day programme, we will give you a taste of life in a dynamic and diverse bank, showing you what it is like to work in business areas such as Global Banking, Global Markets, HSBC Securities Services, and Global Liquidity and Cash Management.
What you can expect
This programme will help you when it comes to deciding which career route to choose in the future. You can build your understanding of the different areas of our business, receive behavioural skills training, take part in case study sessions, attend networking events, and see what our experts do on a daily basis. You will also have the opportunity to meet senior leaders and peers who are there to improve your learning experience.
What you will do
With this programme, you can discover where your skills and passions fit best by getting stuck into some hands-on tasks, interactive learning sessions, skills workshops, and work shadowing. You will hear from senior leaders and professionals from four of our core business areas – Global Banking, Global Markets, HSBC Securities Services, and Global Liquidity and Cash Management. You will also get an insight into how we work in each area, from the importance of teamwork and communication skills needed to build client relationships, to the in-depth understanding of analysis and modelling needed to interpret market data for our clients.
No matter what you are currently studying, our insight programme is developed to help inform your future career choices. The experience will allow you to not only learn about HSBC, but also to learn a bit about yourself.
