Alumni

Coming to work at HSBC means joining an international community where different perspectives are valued. We want you to feel connected to this community for life, even if your career takes you elsewhere.

Whether you retire or move on to another job elsewhere, we hope you will feel proud about having worked here – just as we’re proud of the contributions our former employees have made to HSBC’s success.

Our alumni talent community is open to former employees who are currently searching for a contract or permanent role, or are perhaps not ready to make a career move yet but would like us to stay in contact with career-related news.

From alum to boomerang

Gary Chu, Programme Director - Strategy and Performance, HSBC University, left HSBC in 2012 and re-joined in 2014.

“HSBC is such a large and diverse global company,” he says. “It’s great to be a part of something so big, that impacts as many people as we do.

“Where we are now is very different to where we were a few years ago. I always enjoyed the work but now it’s about being a part of something bigger. There’s a real sense of trust, pride and inspiration.”
