Group Chief of Staff
Stephen Moss is Group Chief of Staff, HSBC. He was appointed as a Group Managing Director in December 2018.
Mr Moss started his career with HSBC in 1992 and has held a series of roles in Hong Kong and the UK. He took on the role of Chief of Staff to the Group Chief Executive and Group Head of Strategy and Planning in 2013. Previously, he led the Group’s Mergers and Acquisitions team for five years.
Prior to joining HSBC, Mr Moss worked for Price Waterhouse.
He sits on the boards of HSBC Global Asset Management Limited, HSBC Middle East Holdings, and the Saudi British Bank. Before his return to the UK in 2013, he served as Honourable Treasurer of the Hong Kong Red Cross for eight years.
Mr Moss is a qualified Chartered Accountant of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
