Perhaps the best part about my role is that I get to make a difference to individuals and teams.

I’ve been at the bank for 25 years, in different roles and locations. Now I’m moving to Birmingham to run the Technology teams in the UK.

I absolutely love working at HSBC. Every day there are new people, new business areas and valuable Exchange sessions – by talking to all these people, wherever they’re based, we come up with solutions together.

First and foremost, I’m a mum. Secondly, I’m a UK Chief Information Officer (CIO). I’m also divorced and my son spends half his week with me and half with his dad. HSBC has helped a lot with this through the flexibility it offers. I work from home one day a week and on another day I’m on time to do the school run and pick him up.

I believe our remuneration and rewards are very competitive. We’re fortunate to have an onsite nursery in Birmingham, as well as a flexible benefits package.

There is a wealth of opportunity here – personal and professional. It also offers me a real challenge. I wake up to something different in the inbox or on the phone and that challenge stretches you as an individual on a daily basis.
