Speaking fluent Cantonese, Mandarin and English meant HSBC was the natural choice for me when I was looking at different summer programmes.
I started at HSBC as an intern in Markets, where I experienced the excitement of working on the trading floor. I was given lots of opportunities and responsibilities, and when I finished the internship I was offered a place on the graduate programme. I like trading as it creates a true meritocracy and the market is the ultimate judge.
When I accepted the offer to join HSBC’s graduate programme in Markets, I thought about where I want to be in the next 10 years. Which bank values my contribution and treats me on merit? Which bank is in the best position to be one of the strongest players globally? HSBC was the obvious choice for me.
