I have been at the bank for 25 years, in different roles and locations. Now I’m moving to Birmingham to run the Technology teams in the UK.
I absolutely love working at HSBC. Every day there are new people, new business areas and valuable Exchange sessions – by talking to all these people, wherever they’re based, we come up with solutions together.

First and foremost, I’m a mum. Secondly, I’m a UK Chief Information Officer (CIO). I’m also divorced and my son spends half his week with me and half with his dad. HSBC has helped a lot with this through the flexibility it offers. I work from home one day a week and on another day I’m on time to do the school run and pick him up.
I believe our remuneration and rewards are very competitive. We’re fortunate to have an onsite nursery in Birmingham, as well as a flexible benefits package.
There is a wealth of opportunity here – personal and professional. It also offers me a real challenge. I wake up to something different in the inbox or on the phone and that challenge stretches you as an individual on a daily basis.
