I joined HSBC when I was 17 and now, seven years later, I’m a Relationship Director in Clapham Junction, supporting high-net-worth clients with investable assets between £750,000 and £1.5million. I help my clients get the right support at the right time and connect them with specialists across the bank.
A Premier Relationship Director

I’ve always loved speaking to people. It’s what drew me to this role. Everyone has a different story, a different goal – I just like finding out what they want to do and what they want to achieve. Sometimes they’re planning for retirement, sometimes they’ve just inherited money and aren’t sure where to start. It’s about understanding what matters to them and making things happen.
Building relationships that matter
I work with a real mix of clients – families, entrepreneurs, people who are good with money but time-poor, or people who’ve never needed advice before but now do. One client came in just to ask about a pension and ended up with a tailored plan, some tax support, and even a hospitality invite to a match at Tottenham because we found out he was a lifelong fan. You don’t get that if you just treat it like a financial transaction.

I’m currently on HSBC’s internal Wealth Academy pathway, working towards my diploma so I can become a fully qualified wealth planner.
At the moment, I focus on understanding clients and their needs, then bring in the right experts to support them. But soon I’ll be able to give advice myself – and that’s exactly where I want to be.
There’s no ceiling here. Whether it’s picking up knowledge from colleagues, getting exposure to complex client cases or learning through formal study, I’m always developing. And that’s what I love – the mix of people, progression and proper support to grow.
