What to expect

Supported by experienced managers, colleagues and a wide network of diverse peers, you will be encouraged to take on responsibility and bring new ideas to the table. You will be valued as an individual and for the contribution you make.

An assignment with HSBC in France provides valuable work experience to complement your professional training, as well as the opportunity to see a different part of the world. In 2018, VIE recruited people to work in the financial centres of continental Europe, Hong Kong, New York, London and Shanghai. Assignments cover a wide range of areas such as Client Relationship Management and Advisory Business in Global Banking, Sales in Global Markets, Risk, Information Technology and Global Market Operations.

Learning, development and support

Our programme will provide you with an insight into what it is like to work for a global bank and help you decide your future career options.

Your assignment is designed to build on the experience you have gained so far in your career, enhance your learning and deepen your understanding of banking. We also hope that this will be the start of a long-term relationship between you and HSBC.

Over the course of the assignment, we typically offer:

  • A thorough induction and integration into HSBC
  • Ongoing support to help you achieve your goals
