You get training from the day you start on the graduate programme. I had one month’s training in Shanghai which helped me greatly in my first rotation. This is supplemented by online training, seminars and team-building exercises. Not only do you learn a lot but you get to know your colleagues quickly.
Some of my rotations are in the Pearl River Delta in China, which is transforming from an export-driven manufacturing base into a sophisticated, modern city-region. The Pearl River Delta’s population is only slightly smaller than the UK or Italy. My time here has given me fantastic exposure to a wide range of opportunities. Working on such a high-profile project is initially challenging but also filled with opportunities.
The graduate programme is looking to teach the future leaders of the bank and you will support important projects during your rotations.
