Outside of work there are many volunteering initiatives that allow me to give back to my community. I feel I am making a real difference

From the very start at HSBC we are all encouraged to speak up and express our views. It is a supportive environment in which you are constantly learning from feedback and the wide range of exposure to different projects. The rotations give you great practical experience of the different aspects of working in Retail Banking and Wealth Management, but at the same time it develops your interpersonal skills which are important for me in my chosen role as a Premier Relationship Manager.

Working at HSBC is fast-paced and challenging and there is also support for achieving a work-life balance. The international nature of the bank means you get many opportunities to know people from different countries. I made strong connections on the regional graduate development programme held in Hong Kong and I was able to meet new people during an overseas rotation in Shanghai.

HSBC has so much to offer in terms of career development that I advise anyone looking at joining to embrace all the challenges and learning opportunities. You are given credit for your ideas and you are supported to go above and beyond what you initially think you are capable of doing. There is a lot on offer here.
