I have worked in global liquidity and cash management and transaction banking for more than seven years. Originally from Texas, I am now based in London and responsible for developing a clear strategy, operating model and business plan for Global Liquidity and Cash Management and ensuring we act in accordance with them.
I work closely with senior leaders in our Commercial Banking and Global Banking and Markets businesses, Relationship and Client Managers, and our partners in the bank’s support functions. My global remit means that I liaise with teams in many markets, primarily in London, New York, Hong Kong, Singapore, Dubai and Mexico City.
This involves some business travelling, but increasingly we are using technology to improve our ability to work together across the globe. I also make presentations to the bank’s senior leaders. It is highly satisfying when a proposal is approved, the team’s hard work is rewarded and our ideas are put into action.
HSBC brings together many diverse views and cultures. The opportunity to collaborate with such a broad range of people in a constructive way to achieve results for our clients and our business is one of the most rewarding elements of my role. This sense of teamwork also allows you to develop deep personal networks and friendships.
Being part of a global organisation such as HSBC offers tremendous opportunities to nurture and develop your career.
