Inspiring Potential Programme

HSBC are offering outstanding students in Year 13, studying A - levels the chance to learn more about our industry. Through a series of interactive presentations and workshops you will have the opportunity to learn more about our Firm and culture. The day will include networking with business representatives across all divisions which will enable you to get a sense of the varying roles available.

The 'Inspiring Potential' insight day has been designed to provide access to the role models, information and training required to make informed decisions regarding your career.

Who can apply?

The programme is open to Year 13 A-level students who meet the following criteria:

  • Be predicted 320 UCAS points at A-Level
  • Have a GCSE B in Maths and English
  • Be eligible for free school meals
    or
  • Be the first generation in your family to attend university, having attended a state school where
    a higher than average percentage of pupils are eligible for free school meals

Aspiring Female Potential Programme

The HSBC Aspiring Female Potential Programme has been designed with the view that not everyone knows what they want to do when they leave university never mind school. As a final year A-Level student, you will gain an early insight into the world of investment banking and be offered a glimpse of what the future could hold for you.

You will spend 3 days with us, learning about the various functions of a global investment bank, meeting inspirational people from across HSBC and developing skills that will be beneficial not only at school but at university and beyond. It is a chance for you to strengthen your CV and gain practical networking opportunities for the future.

What to expect?

During the programme, successful applicants will participate in the following:

  • Classroom-based presentations
  • Case studies
  • Interactive seminars
  • Skills sessions
  • Trading floor tours

Who can apply?

The programme is open to female Year 13 A-level students who meet the following criteria:

  • Be predicted 320 UCAS points at A-Level

The programme is strictly for final year A-Level students, who will be attending university in 2015.
