Inspiring Potential Insight Day

HSBC is offering outstanding students in Year 13, studying A-levels the chance to learn more about our industry. Through a series of interactive presentations and workshops you will have the opportunity to learn more about our firm and culture. The day will include networking with business representatives across all divisions which will enable you to get a sense of the varying roles available.

The 'Inspiring Potential' insight day has been designed to provide access to the role models, information and training required to make informed decisions regarding your career.

Who can apply?
The programme is open to Year 13 A-level students who meet the following criteria:

  • Be predicted 300 UCAS points at A-Level
  • Be eligible for free school meals

and/or

  • Be the first generation in your family to attend university, having attended a state school where  a higher-than-average percentage of pupils are eligible for free school meals

The programme is strictly for final-year A-Level students who will be attending university in 2016.

2016 HSBC M&A Case Study Competition - Asia Investment Banking Conference

HSBC is proud to sponsor the 2016 Asia Investment Banking Conference (AIBC) M&A Case Study Competition.

The AIBC is the largest global student-organised conference in the world that focuses on corporate advisory and financial markets. This conference is open to all undergraduate students worldwide and are invited to participate in the HSBC M&A Case Study Competition. This year the conference is taking place between 5 and 6 September at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. The top 5 finalist teams of the competition will be invited to present in person to a panel of judges at the HSBC Main Building at 1 Queen’s Road Central, Central, Hong Kong on 2 September 2016.

HSBC Hong Kong Archives Tour for university students

Join the HSBC Graduate Recruitment team on an exclusive tour of the HSBC Archives in Kowloon to learn about our 150 years of history on 2 August from 2.30 pm to 3.30 pm.

Undergraduates who are currently in Hong Kong for the summer but studying at a university outside of Hong Kong are invited to come and meet our business representatives, learn more about our internship and graduate programmes and find out about the rich history behind HSBC becoming one of the world’s largest banking and financial services organisations.

The HSBC Archives are located at HSBC Centre, Tower 2 and 3, 1 Sham Mong Road, Kowloon and are currently closed to the general public.

Registration is essential as places are strictly limited. Places will be confirmed closer to the date.


HSBC Asia - Graduate Recruitment information session - University of Sydney

Aspiring Female Potential Programme
Date: 10-12 August 2016

The HSBC Aspiring Female Potential Programme has been designed with the view that not everyone knows what they want to do when they leave university, never mind school. As a final-year A-Level student, you will gain an early insight into the world of investment banking and be offered a glimpse of what the future could hold for you.

You will spend three days with us, learning about the various functions of a global investment bank, meeting inspirational people from across HSBC and developing skills that will be beneficial not only at school but at university and beyond. It is a chance for you to strengthen your CV and gain practical networking opportunities for the future.

What to expect?
During the programme, successful applicants will participate in the following:
