WGC-HSBC Champions

The HSBC World Golf Champions in Shanghai is our flagship event in the men’s game. Shanghai is a special place for the bank. We opened for business there in 1865 – almost 150 years later it is still central to HSBC.

The HSBC Champions, created in November 2005, attracts the world's best players and in 2009 the event was granted World Golf Championship status – the first outside the US to achieve this.

This year’s WGC-HSBC Champions will be held at Sheshan Golf Club between 6-9 November.

Brasil Champions presented by HSBC

The Brasil Champions is a new event on the Web.com Tour and the first time it has been to Brazil. The Web.com Tour is the developmental tour for the US-based PGA Tour and represents the main opportunity to earn a place on the PGA Tour.

HSBC teamed up with Gary Player, winner of nine Majors, to help three young Brazilian players prepare for the tournament. This helped Rafael Becker, age 22, tie for 26th place in the tournament.

The inaugural HSBC Golf Business Forum will be the 11th staging of the annual event, established in 2004 and widely regarded as the most important business-to-business golf event in Europe, Middle East and Africa for golf industry professionals. This year saw 277 delegates from over 40 different countries come together, in Abu Dhabi, to discuss and debate emerging issues in the golf industry.
