Hong Kong Global Banking & Markets Insight Programme

Our Hong Kong Global Banking & Market’s Insights Programme is designed for university students who are studying any degree discipline and keen to learn more about the world of financial services and banking.

During this two-day programme, you will gain exposure to our industry and learn about our company culture. You will meet HSBC colleagues who will share their career journey and answer your questions. After completing the programme you will understand the various career paths available to you in our Global Banking & Markets business and have a better idea of what it’s like to work in an international bank.

The Insight Programme is designed as a head start in preparing your application for 2025 Summer Internship. Completing the Summer Internship can provide you with a good opportunity to continue on to our Global Banking & Markets Global Graduate Programmes the year after that.

What you can expect

During the Insight programme, you can discover where your skills and passions fit best by immersing yourself in interactive learning sessions, skills workshops, and networking events. You will hear from senior leaders and graduates from core business areas within Global Banking & Markets. You will also get an insight into how we work in each area, from the importance of teamwork, resilience and communication skills needed to build client relationships, to the in-depth understanding of analysis and modelling needed to interpret market data for our clients. You’ll also experience our culture first-hand and learn about key areas that make HSBC unique.

  • Inquisitive learners. Being able to ask questions shows that you are willing to learn, so we are looking for those who are hungry for knowledge and a holistic experience of the business
