Desmond Wee, Head of Trade Services, HSBC Brazil, discusses the Latin American country's relationship as it looks to become more interconnected with the world – especially the Chinese market. Although international trade is still a small part of the Brazilian economy, many businesses are beginning to look outside of the domestic market. There is particular interest in the development of the renminbi as a trade currency and the opportunities this may bring.
