Yes, I do have a female mentor at HSBC. I will have regular meetings with her where I can actually leverage on her experience, and I will also ask for her advice on how to progress in banking as a woman. And we also have women conferences at HSBC where women in different parts of the business will get to join together, share our stories and experience. I think my team is very down to earth. We have people from different countries and speaking different languages. We also have a quite good balance of female and male.
I believe that at every stage of my career, I will get very good support from HSBC. There is a mix of on-the-job learning and there is classroom workshop, there is an e-learning which allows me to holistically develop myself.
On my first day of joining HSBC I was told that I’m not actually doing a job, rather I’m actually pursuing a career, so I would really like to make full use of every opportunity in HSBC to develop my career.
