HSBC has a broad range of people and values – take my department as an example – we’ve got colleagues from South Africa, Canada, Sri Lanka, India, United Kingdom, there are a lot of countries. So this kind of working environment is very good.
Diversity is definitely very important for all banks and I think it also makes HSBC a better bank. For supporting functions like Finance it is very important, as the bank colleagues from different backgrounds, who have a different gender or nationalities, can usually think in different ways. So this stimulates thoughts and we can easily come up with a wide range of solutions and ideas.
There are many opportunities in HSBC because HSBC is such a big bank, it’s an international bank with a lot of opportunities in different regions, in different teams and different departments. I think HSBC attracted me the first time because it is an international bank and I can feel that there are lots of opportunities in HSBC. And I think HSBC is also famous for its friendly culture, so I really like this kind of working environment.
