The biggest thing that I like about HSBC is that they don't care how young or how old you are; they just care about your capabilities. So you might have a project that entails migrating all term deposits to your funds so you have huge quantities of money moving around and they won't care about how old you are as long as you can actually accomplish the job, which is a sign of meritocracy within the bank.
I went to the Pennsylvania State University. I want to come back to Mexico; I want to help Mexico, as a country in general. And I had offers to stay in the United States to work for other companies, but I actually fell in love with the company when I was an intern and I didn't want to work anywhere else. So, once I was done with it, I said: “Well, let's do the next logical thing and apply for the GGP Programme”, which is the rotational programme around HSBC where you go through different lines of business and you learn how the whole bank works.
