Turkey Summer Internship Programme

HSBC's Graduate Programmes

The Turkey Summer Internship Programme is for university students and master’s degree students looking to gain experience of the banking sector with a leading global bank. The programme will provide you with a detailed insight into Global Banking and Markets, Global Functions, Retail Banking, Corporate Banking, and HSBC Technology and Services. We also look to the programme to provide a pipeline of future banking leaders.

Who can apply?

To be considered for the programme, you will:

  • Be a university student in your third or fourth year or a master’s degree student
  • Ideally be studying engineering, economics, administrative sciences or art and sciences
  • Have a high standard of written and spoken English

What to expect

Supported by experienced managers, colleagues and a wide network of diverse peers, you will be encouraged to take on responsibility and bring new ideas to the table. You will be valued as an individual and for the contribution you make.

Over the 4- to 12-week programme, you will take an active role in business projects with HSBC experts in different business lines, providing an ideal start to your professional life.

You can expect practical training that will complement your academic studies, embedding our values while growing your career. During the Turkey Summer Internship Programme, you will be challenged to use your talents and academic knowledge to add value to the bank and improve your professional and personal skills.

The programme typically runs from June to September and involves working five days a week. If you complete the programme during the summer, you will have the opportunity to continue your internship during the October-May period (working at least three days a week). If you perform well, you will be invited to take a place on our graduate programme when you complete your studies.

Learning, development and support

Our programme will provide you with an insight into what it is like to work for a global bank and help you decide your future career options.

If you have an analytical mind, along with strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, we will do all we can to support your development, both personally and professionally.
