What to expect

Supported by experienced managers, colleagues and a wide network of diverse peers, you'll be encouraged to take on responsibility and bring new ideas to the table. You will be valued as an individual and for the contribution you make.

Over the 30-month programme, you’ll develop as one of our next generation of senior managers through placements and overseas training. You’ll have the option of following one of the four development and career streams: Retail Banking and Wealth Management, Commercial Banking, Amanah Finance, and HSBC Technology and Services. Your preference will be decided and confirmed at the application/assessment stage.

Learning, development and support

Our programme will equip you with the skills and experience required to start a successful career with HSBC, as well as the opportunity to develop your professional network with colleagues around the world.

Over the course of the programme, we typically offer:

  • Wide exposure to your business area
  • A posting in your chosen stream
  • The opportunity to join the Group Graduate Development Programme in the UK – an intensive session to develop your skills and experience
  • The opportunity to join the Regional Graduate Development Programme in Hong Kong
  • The opportunity to develop leadership skills and the technical knowledge relevant to your stream
  • Full support from your line mentors and managers
  • Ongoing performance reviews
