What to expect
We’re looking for the future digital specialists who will drive and innovate the experience for millions of our customers in Retail Banking and Wealth Management. Whether collaborating virtually with our colleagues in Pune, reviewing a fintech start-up in the Pearl River Delta, or helping develop new digital products in Mexico, you will be in good company.
On the graduate programme you will complete five rotations, giving you well-rounded experience across our Digital business in both customer-facing and specialist head office environments. Rotations could include areas such as Digital Marketing, our Digital Centre of Excellence, country or regional Digital teams, Innovation, Customer Value Management, Partnerships, Risk and IT.
You’ll be able to take part in our sustainability initiatives. Our volunteering programme, for example, could help you to develop new skills, while contributing to the communities in which we work.
As well as your immediate team, we have Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), also known as networks. They are similar to the clubs and societies that you may have had access to at school, college or university. ERGs are voluntary employee-led groups. Our seven core global diversity-themed networks are: Ability, Balance, Embrace, Faith, Generations, Nurture and Pride. We also have common interest groups that connect employees on a variety of different topics. They are open to all employees.

You will receive digital and agile project management training. You will also have the opportunity to work towards Google and Adobe Analytics certificates. We are here to support your development but as a forward-thinking, motivated individual it will be up to you to drive it.
You will also be assigned a mentor and buddy, who will give you advice and share ideas, and draw on the knowledge of experienced colleagues around you. We'll encourage you to build your network of contacts, which will be invaluable as your HSBC career unfolds.
On completion of the programme, you could join one of our digital teams within Retail Banking and Wealth Management before moving into a senior, specialist role. Following this career path could lead to your becoming a regional or country head.
