HSBC’s The Future of Retirement programme is an independent study into global retirement trends. It provides authoritative insight into the key issues associated with ageing populations and increasing life expectancy around the world.
Since The Future of Retirement programme began in 2005, more than 125,000 people have been surveyed.
The latest global report, A new reality, is the eighth in The Future of Retirement series and is based on a survey of more than 15,000 people in 15 countries in July and August 2012.
A new reality explores what people are looking forward to from their retirement, what is stopping them from reaching their aspirations and how planning can help to achieve greater retirement wealth. It offers five practical actions everyone should take.
