The Climate Group and the HSBC Climate Partnership

The Climate Group's participation in the HSBC Climate Partnership enhances their collaboration with other major non-governmental organisations working on climate change. Their key skills in facilitating communications are important in reducing duplication of effort and sharing research tasks and findings.

Specific goals for the Climate Group's role in the HSBC Climate Partnership include 40 new Climate Group memberships, helping to galvanise the conditions in which governments in the UK, USA, India and China can adopt greenhouse gas emissions targets, and building the Climate Group's capacity in key world cities.

The connections that the Climate Group has fostered are also helping the partnership to access city populations and to address environmental issues in urban areas.
