Six charities benefit from Christmas card donation

HSBC is donating £180,000 to international charities this Christmas, in lieu of sending corporate cards to key contacts and suppliers.

Over the past six years, HSBC has given more than £1million to international charities through its corporate Christmas card scheme. The charities that will benefit from the scheme this year include:

Synergeia in the Philippines
Synergeia aims to transform basic education in collaboration with local government, parents and the private sector.

The Hong Kong Alzheimer's Disease Association
The Association operates two centres in public housing estates.

Clean Air Champions in Canada
Clean Air Champions works with a large number of national, provincial and local partners to develop unique, innovative and motivating programs and to deliver these programmes.

The National Autistic Society (NAS) in the U.K.
The Society provides a range of services for child and adult sufferers of Autism.

SeeAbility in the U.K.
The oldest visual impairment charity in the UK, SeeAbility is committed to ensuring that people with disabilities live their lives to their full potential.

Modimo O Moholo in South Africa
The Modimo O Moholo shelter was established in 1995 as a skills development and work centre for physically and mentally disabled people in Orange Farm, south of Johannesburg.
