The 2006 HSBC Women's World Match Play Championships started today at the Hamilton Farm Golf Course, New Jersey.
This year's line-up includes many of the world's premier female golfers, including world number one Annika Sorenstam. All will be aiming to secure a winner's cheque of US$500,000, and to emulate Colombia's Marisa Baena, who won last year's inaugural event.
