Tate and HSBC are bringing to London the first major exhibition in over 20 years of the work of Mexican artist Frida Kahlo.
The exhibition, which will open at Tate Modern in June, is part of a novel partnership between Tate and HSBC and represents a major co-operation between the UK and Mexico. The sponsorship will also enable Tate to send a selection of sculptures by the pre-eminent British artist Henry Moore to Mexico. Moore was profoundly influenced by Pre-Colombian art and the exhibition of his work, curated by Tate, will run concurrently at the Dolores Olmedo Patiño Museum in Mexico City.
