Big potential in US demographic change
Published: 20 October 2008
The overseas market for Spanish-language content is rapidly growing, particularly in the United States. The number of Latin Americans in the US is estimated to be growing at triple the rate of the overall US population, and the majority consist of Spanish speakers from Mexico. Due to this rapid growth and the concentration of Spanish-speakers in major urban centres, ad spending on TV, radio and internet targeting the Hispanic market is growing at a faster rate than all other US media.
