I joined HSBC in 2007. Joining HSBC was an easy decision because they had a graduate scheme which offered me a variety of roles across different areas of the bank as well as across different locations.
My first role in HSBC was working in a branch - that was really exciting, because I love talking to customers. While I was working at the branch I got involved in a global sustainability project which was about understanding the impact of deforestation and, for me, that was really interesting because I'd never really thought about how decisions we make in a bank can affect the environment.
In my last role I was a Retail Risk Relationship Manager covering Armenia. It was such a great experience because I had daily interactions with senior colleagues out there. I even had the opportunity to go out there once to visit and understand the people, understand the culture and understand what drove their business decisions. For me, that's just typical for people who work at HSBC.
