Opening an International Account - Mexico

Please read carefully the guidelines below when opening a business account in Mexico.

Application Process

  • Please review the account opening requirements attached below (Spanish and English version as appropriate).
  • Please complete the application form attached. Please note that due to country regulations this must be completed in Spanish. If you have any questions on how to complete the form please contact the country representative listed below. This form is for small business customers. If you are a medium-sized business you are encouraged to talk to your local branch or if you are an HSBC customer in another country please talk to your relationship manager.
  • Please contact the country representative listed below to discuss business and geographical requirements. Depending upon your needs you may be asked to mail the application form(s) to Mexico for verification of some of the details.
  • You will then be contacted with any additional questions or to arrange an appointment to complete your account opening.
  • You will be required to visit HSBC Mexico in person to open the bank account. You will need to bring all completed application forms and supporting documentation to the meeting. To comply with local laws and practices your account can only be opened once the account signer(s)/local representative is/are in Mexico in an HSBC bank office or on the business premises.
