Personal banking
HSBC offers individual customers a wide range of bank accounts and services in many currencies including various types of deposits and advances, international payments, foreign exchange, safe custody, trust services, automated banking and card services. It also offers mortgages and loans.

Commercial banking
HSBC Bank Malta has specialised commercial banking centres with dedicated relationship managers for business customers. Business accounts may be opened in all major currencies in addition to the Maltese Lira. Facilities include loans and overdrafts to finance capital investment and working capital requirements.

A full range of trade services is also available to commercial customers, including documentary credit opening, advising or negotiating, bills discounting and collection, import and export finance, shipping guarantees and interbank collections and limited factoring services.

International Banking Centre
The International Banking Centre specialises exclusively in servicing the bank's international clientele.  The centre provides a full range of personal and commercial banking products and services. These include bank accounts denominated in the world's major currencies bearing advantageous interest rates, as well as multi-currency facilities on a High Interest Cheque Account.  A high quality personalised service through dedicated relationship managers as well as investment and custody services are also available.

Fund management and administration
HSBC Fund Management (Malta) Ltd., a fully owned subsidiary company of HSBC Bank Malta p.l.c. manages a range of domestic and international funds.  The company also specialises in the development of innovative investment products catering for a wide range of personal investors.

HSBC Fund Management (Malta) Ltd. also provides fund administration services to third parties through its subsidiary HSBC Investment Services (Malta) Limited.  This essentially entails nominee and trade execution services in respect of various offshore investment funds.

HSBC Investment Services (Malta) Ltd. is also registered as an Authorised Financial Intermediary (AFI) providing a tax administration service on investment income earned from overseas-based investments by Malta residents.

Life assurance
