Bank of Bermuda is a leading financial services company in Bermuda providing fund administration, trust, custody, asset management and banking services to institutions and individuals. Founded in 1889, the group grew to span 17 of the world's key financial and offshore centers including Bahrain, Cayman Islands, Cook Islands, Dublin, Guernsey, Hong Kong, Isle of Man, Japan, Jersey, London, Luxembourg, New York, New Zealand, Singapore, South Africa and Switzerland prior to joining the HSBC Group's network in February 2004. Most of Bank of Bermuda's operations in these overseas locations will be amalgamated with HSBC offices in 2004.
Community Banking offers a broad range of products and services to the Bermuda community, including checking and savings accounts, transactional / payment services, debit / ATM cards, credit cards, personal and consumer loans, mortgages and home equity loans, investment and financial planning services.
Private Client Services offers a full wealth management service including trusts, investments and banking.
Commercial Banking provides deposit facilities, investment and credit products to local Bermuda business customers. The key client segments include Government, local businesses, partnerships, and unincorporated entities, such as sole proprietors, associations and charitable donations.
Corporate, Investment Banking and Markets (CIBM) specialises in providing corporate finance, debt/equity capital markets, risk management, investment management and transaction banking services to multinational corporations and management companies operating from Bermuda.
HSBC Asset Management Bermuda will be introduced in Bermuda in the fourth quarter of 2004 as the local arm of the HSBC Group’s global investment management business. Globally, HSBC Asset Management has US$180.5 billion of assets under management and employs some 1600 people.
Global Fund Services is focused on providing a full range of fund administration services to the international alternative investment industry including hedge funds, fund of funds, emerging market funds and private equity funds.
