The making of the history wall
The HSBC History Wall is an exciting and original feature of HSBC's Group headquarters in London’s Docklands. It demonstrates HSBC’s rich and fascinating pedigree, by bringing together nearly 4,000 images from the Group’s past. The History Wall combines the characteristics of a gallery, a library and a work of contemporary art.
The History Wall was developed in partnership with Thomas Heatherwick, one of the UK's leading design studios, and won a special mention in the Design Week 2003 awards. The wall is situated on the ground floor of HSBC's head office and can be seen by customers and visitors to the building during normal office hours.
